An outbound Canal streetcar finishes loading passengers before crossing Claiborne Avenue by the Claiborne Hotel and Claiborne Towers during the morning rush hour. Later, this view became impossible, because the Interstate 10 elevated freeway was built on the Claiborne Ave. neutral ground, blocking the view. Then, on July 22, 2012, the building was demolished in seconds by imploding it with explosives. — R. Hill
